Tigo Presents Bus To Kotoko

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has taken delivery of a brand new bus worth $200,000 at a colorful ceremony at the forecourt of the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi yesterday. This was made possible by the headline sponsor of Kotoko, Tigo, which is a giant in the Telecommunications Industry of the country. The donation was in fulfillment of an earlier promise made to the Club. The bus is to assist Kotoko to travel across the country in order to help them honour their matches with ease, and it was received by the Akyempimhene, Oheneba Adusei Poku on behalf of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who is currently touring London. Addressing the charged and highly elated Kotoko supporters, Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, Brand Manager of Millicom Ghana Limited, the operators of Tigo, commended Kotoko for rising from their slumber to finish second in the just ended League. He further promised his outfit�s readiness to support Kotoko to reach greater heights, both on the local and foreign scene, urging the teeming funs of the Club to patronize the products of Tigo in order to make it financially stable. In recent times, Tigo has assisted the Porcupine Warriors in diverse ways, and this has no doubt contributed significantly to Kotoko�s splendid showing in the domestic league. For instance, Tigo kept faith with its promise by presenting an amount of GH�10,000 to Kotoko for the breaking of a 16 year-old jinx when they defeated arch rivals Hearts 1-0 in Accra. The Akyempimhene, Nana Adusei Poku after receiving the bus commended Tigo for their numerous assistance, urging them to continue their good works. On behalf of the Kotoko management, Helena Kobina expressed hope that the cordial relationship that exists between Kotoko and Tigo will be sustained. She also appealed to the Kotoko supporters to patronize Tigo�s products in order to encourage the telecommunications operator provide more support to the Porcupine Warriors.
