Atletico Madrid Sign Ghana Youngster Bernard Mensah From Vitoria Guimaraes

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have signed Ghanaian youngster Bernard Mensah from Vitoria Guimaraes after beating off competition from Manchester United and Valencia. Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.
 
The 20-year-old officially penned a six-year deal with the La Liga outfit on Wednesday making him the second signing for the Club.

The Ghanaian international will however be loaned out to fellow La Liga side Getafe for the 2015/16 season.

"Bernard Mensah is an Atletico Madrid player after an agreement was reached with Guimarares.” Atletico Madrid confirmed on their website.

"The midfielder is known for his speed and driving with the ball. At 20 he is already a full international for Ghana."

The talented midfielder joins Stefan Savic who was also signed from Italian side Fiorentina on Monday.

Mensah has already been capped twice for Ghana after featuring for the Black Stars in an international friendly and AFCON qualifier against Togo and Mauritius respectively scoring in his debut against Togo.
