Becca Steals Show @ 1008 Laughs

Ghanas sensational Afro-pop singer, Rebecca Acheampong, aka Becca, once again demonstrated her musical prowess and dominance on the music scene during this years edition of 1008 Laughs and Music at the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday. Indeed, Becca virtually set the enthusiastic patrons into frenzy, when she took the stage and treated patrons to an unforgettable performance. Becca mounted the stage a minute after she was introduced to the excited audience. She was consistent and controlled the crowd. She also delighted music fans with hip-life music, which has its soul embedded in the hearts of Ghanaians. She was unsurpassable as she was able to thrill music fans to their satisfaction. She took everybody by surprise and the whole auditorium hailed her. Her attitude on stage was also exceptionally good. It was a hilarious spectacle as the prolific musician treated the excited audience to some serious dance moves on stage. After that splendid performance, most people agreed that Becca had arrived musically, and wanted to know when she would stage her own concert. She did demonstrate her stage craft; singing and dancing skills, which left no doubt in anyones mind that she is truly a force to reckon with in the global music scene. The night attracted a number of personalities including the International Boxing Federations (IBF) bantamweight champion, Joseph Agbeko and Mrs. Juliana Azumah Mensah, minister of Tourism. In all, the entire event was fantastic with both musicians and comedians showing the audience what they are made of. All the artistes billed for the show did their best to the entertain fans but the show was not better than previous ones. Comedian Koffi was more than exciting. He sent the whole auditorium into bouts of laughter with his rib-cracking jokes. Gbenga Adeyinka, though not as impressive when compared to comedians like Basket Mouth, Klink the Drunk and Julius DGenius Agwu, did his best. Gordon, who was superb, succeeded in getting fans to laugh their hearts out. He was focused and lived up to expectation.
