Chilling Revelations Of How Ghanas Looting Brigade Raids Our National Treasury (P1)

Ghanaians have over the years been made to believe that our political elite, through their policies and programs and, are often believed to be deeply enmeshed in sleaze and corruption, who are responsible for the sordid state and impoverishment of the people.

Ghanaian politicians, most at times, are accused of denying the citizenry the benefits that should have accrued to them to end their misery and economic deprivation through the wanton dissipation of their resources and their insatiable quest to amass wealth through fair or foul means.

This assertions to some extent, may hold water as the action and/or inactions of the political class, particularly during their respective tenure in office, may not entirely absolved them from this blame, especially, when the sole reason for electing them into office is to provide answers for the country’s underdevelopment and backwardness in order to lift the people from the doldrums.

Daily reported cases and allegations of corruption involving politicians over the years, coupled with the number of them facing prosecution for misappropriation or misapplication of state funds, have further consolidated public perception that if there was any class of people with patent ownership of corruption, it certainly belong to politicians.

However, what many Ghanaians may not have averted their minds to, is the outcome of a careful examination of the lifestyle and operations of nonpolitical state actors such as Civil and Public Servants, Chief Executives and Board Members of state organization, Religious leaders, owners of Civil society organizations among others.

Suffice to emphasize here that, these apolitical state actors are supposed to serve the best interest of the ordinary Ghanaian for which reason Ghanaians have surrendered to them all the mouthwatering goodies and privileges that comes with their jobs.

Until recently, it was evident Ghana expends nearly 70% of its tax revenue on the emoluments, allowances and gratuities on the about 600000 ‘privilege’ Ghanaians on government pay roll out of a population of 25 million.

However, despite the daily hustle ordinary Ghanaians go through to fulfill their part of building an egalitarian and prosperous nation, regularly contributing their quota, paying taxes to provide the kind of comfort and lucrative packages for these state officials who are expected to safeguard the interest of the ordinary man on the street, information available to The aL-hAJJ indicates, that is not the case, insofar as, some greedy top civil and public servants, religious leaders among others, are concern.

Reports reaching this paper reveal how some privileged few Ghanaians in positions such as, CEOs of state institutions, board members, directors and even, some ordinary workers on government pay roll are using crafty but fiendish means to deplete the national coffers to the detriment of the common man.

These “enemies of the state”, this paper has uncovered, aside putting pressure on the nation’s treasury as a result of their juicy emoluments, allowances and gratuities, have also resorted to the use of unorthodox and deceitful dealings to milk the already impoverished nation dry.

A soon-to-be released investigative report by one of Ghana's foremost investigative spy, which this paper had the privileged to preview, will shock many Ghanaians, particularly the John Mahama-led NDC administration and state intelligence and security chiefs.

The mindboggling investigative piece contains visuals and audio recordings, documentations and in some bizarre circumstances, inadvertent confessions by some top Chief Executives of state agencies boasting of how they have made huge fortunes out of their fortunate positions on the blind side of the President, his intelligence chiefs and the security agencies.

“Is this our so-called democracy worthy of any celebration, perhaps, this country would be better off with another revolution…indeed, a far reaching one than the Rawlings’ revolutions, till then, I think this country is doomed”, a respected senior Journalist, who was privileged to have an insight of what is to hit Ghanaians in the coming weeks angrily stated.

Parts of the investigative report, which is also available to The aL-hAJJ, shows how some chief executives of state agencies, board members and so-called men of God are illegally amassing wealth and looting state resources.

One such person is a particular Chief executive of a government agency who audaciously boasts of having accumulated more wealth than even the president and/or, any of his ministers.

This same individual (name withheld for now) is reported to be bragging to friends how he has officials at the seat of government, including President Mahama and the whole national security apparatus, at his beck and call.

Not only that, but for his ill-gotten wealth, the “spineless idiot” was on a tape in our possession, swaggering of how kingpins of Ghana’s opposition parties are also under his care for which, in the event they come to power after 2016 (which he certainly believes would happen), no one will dare raise questions, which could lead to his removal from office or his prosecution.

Reliable information available to this paper also reveals how this same Chief Executive, who is reported buying and donating state-of-art cars like candies, recently, purchased and donated a $90000 sportive SUV vehicle to the wife of a known leading opposition figure in the country.
