'NDC Would Collapse If I Lose Primaries'

George Boateng, the man seeking to contest President John Dramani Mahama in the up-coming polls of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he is certain the party would collapse if he lose the impending promaries of the party.

The man who sees himself as the last saviour of the party said he would attain hundred percent votes in the party’s primaries.

Mr. Boateng speaking on Adom FM on Tuesday said his belief stems from the fact that several members of the NDC party are ‘disappointed and fed up with the administration of the President and can’t bear the acute hardship any longer.’

“I am getting more than 100% in the primaries, the President would not even get a single vote...not even from his wife and children because they are not NDC card bearing members, they are only enjoying because their husband and father is President…,” he said confidently.

Mr George Boateng picked forms to contest the NDC leadership slot after the party opened nominations.

His claim to fame in the party, he said is because he worked and helped in the orchestration of the victory of the NDC in previous polls.

According to him, the support the President enjoys in the party has waned largely because of the bad management skills of his administration hence his willingness to help redeem the image of the party.

“If I lose in the primaries, then it means the NDC would sink further into the abyss and we would lose 2016…and if we lose 2016, that is our end, no one can redeem the party again…maybe President Rawlings would have to come back to redeem the party…,” he said.

George Boateng claimed the bad management skills of the President is what has made the party very unpopular even among its known members and sympathizer.

“Go out today and interview people, even those who voted for President Mahama would say they never voted for the NDC all because of the bad leadership we are suffering today under this administration…,” he said.

George Boateng has been described by NDC scribe, Johnson Asiedu Nketia as ‘someone who is in need of psychiatric check up’ and as an ‘attention seeker’ by Allotey Jacobs for daring to challenge the President.
