Guinea Apologizes To Ghana

The government of Guinea has officially sent their apologies to President John Evans Atta Mills and the people of Ghana for the untoward attack on the countrys Ambassador, Dominic Aboagye recently. Ambassador Aboagye, who is Ghanas Ambassador to Guinea, was attacked by unknown assailants, robbing him of his 4x4 vehicle and other valuables. Speaking to the Daily Guide newspaper at the Guinean Embassy in Accra, Mr. Alexandre Cece Loua, Guineas Foreign Affairs Minister, explained that Ambassador Aboagye was traveling when three strange people in military uniforms stopped and took his belongings along with the car. With this unhealthy development, which could possibly mar the long standing rapport between the two countries, he was sent down to give a vivid report on the incident and to assure that thorough investigations are on-going to get hold of the perpetrators for onward punishment. He however mentioned that the Ambassador did not sustain any injury, adding that he is in perfect condition and going about his normal duties. He said it was rather unfortunate that some media organisations painted gloomy pictures about the issue. According to him, the Ambassador was mistaken for a government official because in recent times drug traffickers in the country have been attacking officials using different means. He emphasized that they do not seem happy with the governments stance on fighting the drug menace; hence the application of any tactics possible to make Guinea ungovernable.
