�I Shall Transform Bawku� � Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Dori

Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Dori, a building contractor in Bawku has said he is committed to developing Bawku, after filing his nomination form to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries for the Bawku Central Constituency.

Mr. Mahama Ayariga, the incumbent MP for Bawku and Mr Abduliah Musah, former Chief Executive for Bawku Municipal Assembly, have also filed their nominations to contest.

Alhaji Dori said he was much concerned to ensuring that the area moved from its conflict stage to a peaceful one for the young generation to develop. He noted that many political leaders in the area had failed the people of Bawku in recent times and that it was time to assist the area to be reborn and begin a new life.

Alhaji Dori told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that, as a renowned building contractor in the Upper East Region, he was currently constructing a 4.85 kilometer road from Bawku to Kpwialiga and the Mazema communities, as part of measures to improve on the road network that would link up communities and promote socio-economic activities.

He said he was prepared to provide the area with some social amenities such as markets stalls, social centres, and provide a comprehensive sanitation facility to keep the area clean. He noted that the area needed a committed and hardworking young person to lead the people, and he was putting in some strategic plans to transform the youth and engage them in development projects.

He appealed to delegates to vote for him as Member of Parliament and John Dramani Mahama as president of Ghana, in both the primaries and the general elections, to enable him to bring the expected development to the area.
