Drogba Wins Second MLS Player Of The Week Accolade

Didier Drogba has been named the Major Soccer League (MLS) player of the week for the second time this season.

The 37-year-old, who joined Montreal Impact in July, has been a revelation since completing his move to the Canada outfit.

With seven goals in six games, the Ivorian striker has soared up the goal scoring charts.

The former Chelsea forward was voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 30 of the season, having scooped the award for Week 27 following his hat-trick against Chicago Fire in what was his first MLS start.

Drogba found the back of the net in a 2-1 win over the same side last Wednesday before his brace guided the Bleu-blanc-noir to a 2-0 win over D.C. United on Saturday.

The MLS player of the week is selected each week by a panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters.
