NPP Youth Wing Celebrates TESCON At 15

Some fifteen years ago, a new political guild within the New Patriotic Party was birthed.

Since its birth in the year 2000, the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON), has not only become the breeding ground and platform for showcasing and exhibiting political talent of young activists, but has also metamorphosed into a strong political force within and without the New Patriotic Party.

As we mark the fifteenth (15th) Anniversary of TESCON under the theme; ‘Repositioning and Re-energizing TESCON for Victory 2016’, I wish to pay glowing tribute to the pioneers and all who have made diverse contributions towards the sustenance of TESCON. Again, I use this medium to reach out to all former TESCON executives and Members who have lost touch with the party to use this momentous occasion to rededicate themselves to the struggle of kicking the corrupt and insensitive John Mahama led N.D.C. government out by getting in touch and actively involving themselves in activities of the party at all levels nationwide.

Indeed just as it took a certain generation of young men and women to win power for the N.P.P in the year 2000, we the current generation of young men and women within the N.P.P cannot afford to fail the masses of this country come 2016.

To commemorate the occasion, a number of programs have been lined up. They include; a public lecture by Hon Prof Mike Ocquaye on the history of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition at the Ho Polytechnic in the month of October.

In the month of November, there would be a public lecture by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, N.P.P Presidential Candidate on his vision for the youth of Ghana, a health walk, donation and a National Youth Wing ladies Mentors day.

The celebration would be crowned in the month of December with a special awards night dubbed ‘Heroes Night’ where past leaders and deserving members of the National Youth Wing would be awarded for their contribution towards the youth wing of the N.P.P.

We shall in due course communicate the full details of each program to the general public.

Thank you.
