Hip-life music super star Guru,has indicated to Dr. Who,host of hot and classic showbiz review on hot fm that,overthrowing Stonebwoy is not his priority.
Stonebwoy is the reigning VGMA Artist of the Year, but to most entertainment pundits and music enthusiasts,Guru has worked so hard this year by producing great songs and has also performed high profiled shows both local and international which makes him the obvious artist to overthrow Stonebwoy.
Expressing his view concerning the issue, Guru revealed that though it’s pleasing to be endorsed as the one to overthrow stonebwoy,winning just the VGMA is not his biggest priority because he is not only doing songs for Ghanaians:
“I first of all thank those who have endorsed me as the favorite artiste to win the coveted artiste of the year award at the next VGMA. But my brother, am an artist who doesn’t do songs because of award. I’m not like the other artists who impose best rapper titles for themselves. It’s only the fans who can really judge who the best is .I always try to produce good songs for my fans “, Guru noted to Dr. Who.
“I have fans all over the world. I recently performed for my fans in Gabon and in Dubai which they responded massively to my songs. so you see, It’s good to be awarded but honestly winning just the top prize at the VGMA is not my priority because am not only doing songs for Ghanaians “, Guru noted with passion.
Guru is current promoting his newest track ‘Exodus’.It’s a motivational song which talks about the essence of keeping up faith during hard times.
Other equally good songs produced by Guru this year are Baba God and Epic.
