Andre Ayew Makes 10-Man Shortlist For 2015 African Player Of The Year

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has been named among 10 players to compete for the 2015 African player of the year award. Ayew made the cut after initially earning selection to the top 23 which was released last month. The Black Stars deputy skipper faces stiff competition from the likes of reining African player of the year Yaya Toure as well as in-form Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Other players who made the list are Aymen Abdennour of Tunisia, Egyptian international Mohamed Salah and Senegalese forward Sadio Man�. Sofiane Feghouli and Yacine Brahimi all from Algeria, Ivorian Serge Aurier and Mudather Eltaib Ibrahim �Karika� also from Sudan complete the top 10 players to vie for the prestigious accolade in January. Ayew has been instrumental for both Club and country after helping the Black Stars to clinch silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea. The 25-year-old has also netted five times for Swansea City this season in the English Premier League.
