Orphans From Good Shepherd Given A Movie Treat

It was a wonderful day that kids from the Good Shepherd Orphanage will never forget as they enjoyed their first-ever 3D movie experience at the new ultra-modern Global Cinemas located at the old-Weija Barrier.

Organised by Global Media Alliance (GMA) and the Rotaract Club of Accra-Labone (RoCAL) in partnership with Global Cinemas, the event “#movie4kids”, was to create an invaluable experience for the children and also an opportunity to bond with the kids.

In their Dolby 3D spectacles, over 50 children from the orphanage watched the new blockbuster movie, PAN while enjoying their popcorn and drinks.

President of RoCAL, Ekow Quandzie said “The Club decided to move away from the usual donations and have such a treat for the kids who enjoyed a 3D movie for the first time in their life”.

Head of Public Relations at GMA, Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo said the project was part of GMA’s CSR activities. “We decided to partner with the Rotaract Club to embark on this corporate social responsibility activity and we believe that #movie4kids achieved the intended purpose of creating an invaluable experience for the children that will last for long.”
