NPP Executives Talk In A Dogmatic And Pompous Manner Addisons Lawyer

Lawyer for NPP’s lawyer, Mr. Philip Addison says Klottey Korley constituency executives are making empty threats to suspend his client – perhaps they did not study carefully a writ petitioned in court by his client.

Lawyer Frank Davies noted on Citi FM that – “If he [constituency chairman] has read the writ he will not come on radio and pontificate the way he’s doing. He should have asked for a copy of the writ before making such empty pronouncements.”

Phillip Addison and Nii Adjei Tawiah have filed a joint suit at the High Court praying the court to annul the Korle Klottey parliamentary primary results.

The duo are contending that results of the August 2 election which was pronounced in favour of Valentino Nii Noi was unlawful – according to them more than half of the delegates were disenfranchised, which they claim contravenes the tenets of democratic principles set to govern the elections.

Alhaji Aliu Karbe, Vice Chairman of the party in the constituency who is enraged by the development on legal battles in respect of the primaries has called for disciplinary actions against the two who are in court.

The two might face a possible suspension in the NPP for dragging the party to court – but lawyer Frank Davies noted that the party executives lacked understanding of what the writ contains – “They are only making statements in vacuum. They are making lame pontification”.
