A Training Facility For The Stars Soon -Afriyie

Newly elected vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has outlined some of his plans to help the growth of Ghana Football.

Afriyie who is also the chairman of the Black Stars management committee team was given the nod on Thursday by Kwesi Nyantakyi to be his vice after Fred Creintsil lost his Executive committee elections.

The astute football administrator is eager to help bring new initiatives for the betterment of Ghana football

“I will propose that we get a special training pitch for the Black Stars and as a matter of fact all the national teams which they will train when they are on national duty” Afriyie told Asempa FM

“We intended to do one at Prampram, but it seems the land is not much suitable, so I will make sure we consider on the Dodowa road, because the land is better there”

He added “We can even do a natural pitch and an astro turf which will be very good for our national teams and also save cost because we pay lots of money to the National Sports Council when we use the stadium”

Afriyie further highlighted that he will lead a crusade to help the GFA to redeem its denting image and the negativity people associates them with.
