Hearts Open Talks With Liberty Goalkeeper Daniel Agyei

The Scientific Soccer lads goalkeeper has confirmed holding talks with the Phobians’ representatives while on holidays in Holland.

Liberty Professionals goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has revealed holding negotiations with city rivals Hearts of Oak while on holidays in Europe.

The 26-year-old arrived in the country several weeks ago but is yet to continue negotiations with the Phobians, adding that his services are still open to other clubs who are interested.

“I had several discussions with Hearts of Oak top hierarchy while I was in Holland for the holidays,” Agyei told Gazzettaghana.

“However, we are yet to continue since my return but I’m still available to them and other clubs that are willing to meet my demands.

“I want my career to flourish like any player will hope for,” he added.

Goal understands that Hearts are on the lookout for a goalkeeper to replace Mutawakilu Seidu, who has joined GPL debutants Dreams FC ahead of the 2015-16 season.

The club has parted ways with caretaker coach Eddie Ansah despite guiding them to survive relegation and has appointed Japanese Kenichi Yastuhashi who is keen on reviving the Phobians’ fortunes in the new campaign.

Agyei became a household name in Ghana when his heroics against Brazil won 10-man Ghana squad the 2009 Fifa World Youth Championship title held in Egypt after penalty shootouts.
