Ghana and Swansea City midfielder Andre Ayew could work under a new boss as pressure continues to mount on Gary Monk after their latest defeat to Leicester City.
Monk has presided over a Swansea City side who are without a win in their last 11 games including a 3-0 loss to league leaders, Leicester at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
After what was a humiliating defeat in front of their own fans Monk admitted he was running out of time to save his job.
“It is very frustrating and it is hard to put a finger on it. We were extremely poor, the results are not acceptable for the players, myself or the fans. The club deserve better than what we are giving them,” Monk said after the defeat to Leicester.
“I will work as hard as I can, I will continue to do so until I am told not to. No-one knows the club better than me and I have tried to instill the principles and values of the club into the players and how we play but things are not good enough at the moment."
‘I believe I am the man to turn things around but it is out of my hands.’ Ayew has been the most consistent player for the Swans having joined the club from Marseille this summer.
