The Phobians spokesman has outlined itinerary for the impending training tour of the Accra giants.
The public relations officer of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare-Addo, has revealed the club will travel to Libya on Saturday to continue preparations ahead of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians are leaving no stone unturned to get back to winning ways after finishing last season on a disappointing 13th position.
“The club will leave for Libya on Saturday,” Opare-Addo told Atinka FM.
“We will play our first match against Libyan Premier League leaders Al Ahli Tripoli SC on Monday, train on Tuesday and play a return fixture against Al Ahli Tripoli SC on Wednesday.
“We’ll then train again on Thursday and fly back to Accra on Friday.”
Opare-Addo also addressed concerns about new coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s training regime following a series of player injuries.
“Honestly, it’s tough,” Opare confessed, “but if it’s tough and players are getting injuries, then it should tell us all that all this while, the players weren’t fully fit.
“If he’s does that and you’re not matching up, then it’s one of two things; either you’re lazy and can’t match up to his hard training, which is what every footballer requires, or you’re not fit in a way.
“What he’s doing is not beyond football. It’s what professional football training requires. If he sees that you’re not fit, he gets hard on you.
“The coach wants all the players to be at the same level before the league starts.”
Although preparations are fully underway, the date for commencement of the new season is yet to be officially announced.
