Shatta Wale To Quit Dancehall For Christ

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has alluded to hiplife-artiste-turned-pastor, Lord Kenya’sstatement that he will quit secular music and win souls for Christ, saying the prophesy will come to pass soon.

According to Shatta Wale, he is aware that God has been speaking to Lord Kenya about him as he [Shatta] communicates to God often.

“I am a prophet from God. That’s how I see myself. Lord Kenya has been saying Shatta Wale will be a pastor. He is not lying. God is telling him every time in his dreams because I speak to God personally. And when I say things, they happen. I see things and I see them from God. So if people think they can play tricks on me… Sometimes don’t play cards. I know how smart people think they might be. But if you are smart, let it show in your pocket and bank account. Don’t be a dirty smart person,” he said.

Shatta Wale’s comment came on the back of Bass Awards organisers nominating him and using his image on their poster without prior information. According to him, he contacted Solid Multimedia, organisers of the event to deal with him in a professional manner but to no avail.

It will be recalled that Lord Kenya in October 2015 said on Kasapa FM that he believes God will use Shatta Wale and other artistes to win souls. Evangelist Kenya was of the conviction that if God was able to save him and use him for His work, Shatta Wale and other artistes will have a change of mind and quit secular music to do the work of God.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see Shatta Wale, Okyeame Kwame, Obour and Dr. Cryme doing the will of God because I have that feeling within. As a matter of fact, God uses total strangers to change lives of others so I strongly believe God will use them as well just as he is using me,” Lord Kenya said.

The entertainment industry has seen a number of people call it quit to focus on evangelism. These include K.K Kabobo, Papa Shee, Azigiza Jnr, Nana King and Yaw Siki
