Milan Coach Approves Boatengs Return, Says Agent

The representative of the Ghana international claims the Rossoneri manager has no qualms with his client’s return to the club.

The agent of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Federico Pastorello, has rubbished reports that AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is unhappy with the imminent return of the midfielder to the club.

The 28-year-old player is on the verge of completing a comeback to the Italian outfit, two years after leaving the club for Schalke 04.

Having been handed an indefinite suspension by the Bundesliga side in May, Boateng’s contract was finally terminated on December 8.

“I do not see Boateng joining any other club aside the Rossoneri [Milan], and that could happen in the near future,” Pastorello was quoted as saying by Sport Italia.

“When we inquired if the deal could work out, we asked chief executive officer Adriano Galliani and he got permission from the coach [Mihajlovic].

“Mihajlovic was not against it, he knew Prince’s history. We were just happy that Milan opened their door for us.

“Beyond that, if Boateng would sign for Milan, it would only be after an approval from Mihajlovic.”

Boateng made 74 Serie A appearances and scored 10 goals in three seasons during his earlier Milan days, winning the Scudetto and Italian Supercoppa.

Earlier in December, Galliani confirmed that the former Portsmouth playmaker would re-join the club in January.

Known for his disciplinary issues, Boateng is also currently serving an indefinite suspension from Ghana’s national team after being sent home from the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
