The Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) President, Mr. Herbert Mensah, has expressed his shock when he was informed about the death of a young boy, Cleland Emmanuel, in Cape Coast who was the ‘Get Into Rugby’ captain of the Dennis Foundation Community Project.

“Young Cleland was only 11 years old and showed enormous potential as person and as rugby player. The Rugby Family in Ghana wishes to express its condolences to the family and friends of Cleland and to the Dennis Foundation Community Project,” Mr. Mensah said.

According to Mr. Clement Dennis, founder of the Dennis Foundation Community Project, Cleland was bitten by his pet squirrel last week Tuesday and started complaining about headaches.

Cleland died on Thursday and the cause of his death is suspected to be rabies from the squirrel bite. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday 22 December 2015.

The Dennis Foundation is non-profit organisation in Cape Coast, Ghana. Their aim is to ensure better living conditions for children in the community, but also all over the country.‎  

The main working area the Dennis Foundation of  is within the community and its mission as a non-profit organization is to help sick malnourished children, to improve their quality of life, support and promote good education for children and offer cultural programmes.
