Nkoranza police arrest thieves

The Nkoranza police has arrested and placed into custody two persons at Dotobaa in the Nkoranza South District for allegedly stealing two goats. The police described the suspects Kwame Gyabaah and Yaw Moro, both in their 20s, as: hardened criminals. Mr. Victor Ameyaw, Assembly Member for Dotobaa, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some weeks ago, the suspects stole the goats, killed and dressed them for sale at Nkoranza where they had found certain chop bar operators as buyers. Luck, however ran out for them when a farmer spotted them and raised alarm as they were about to board a vehicle with their booty the following day. Sensing danger, they threw away their package and took to their heels but some youth in the area gave them a chase and succeeded in arresting Gyabaah who later mentioned Moro as his accomplice, the prosecutor added.
