Minister Calls For Peace At Osudoku

Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has called for peace to prevail in the Osudoku Traditional Area before, during and after the funeral of the late Paramount chief, Nene Klagbordjor Animie V. He said the late chief who was once the president of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs, was a peaceful traditional ruler who had the welfare of the people and the development of the area at heart, and, therefore deserved a befitting funeral devoid of any tension. The Regional Minister said this when a delegation from the Osudoku traditional council led by Nene Omorsu V, a divisional chief, called on him at the Regional coordinating council on Monday, to announce the preparations towards the burial and funeral of Nene Klagbordjor V, slated for February 1 to the February 9. Nene Klagbordjor V, who died at the age of 90, was enstooled in 1944 and died on July 22, 2014. He ruled for 70 years. Mr. Afotey Agbo said what eh people in the traditional area needed in this trying moment, was absolute peace and unity for development, and not conflict. �Let us live in peace as brothers and sisters and push hard for the development of the area. I also urge all the traditional rulers, sons and daughters and all well-meaning citizens in tea ea to bury their differences and ensure a decent and beautiful funeral for our beloved father,� he said, and promised to convey the funeral announcement to the president.
