Ghanaian Child Actor, Abraham Attah Named As Presenter For 2016 Oscars

After suffering a lot of backlash for the lack of diversity its nominations this year, the 88th edition of The Academy Awards  has announced ‘Beasts Of Nation’ breakthrough child actor, Abraham Attah as one of the presenters at this year’s Oscars slated for the February 28 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. 

The young Ghanaian actor joins a list of already announced presenters including Patricia Arquette, Emily Blunt, Louis C.K., Common, Russell Crowe, Chris Evans, Jennifer Garner, Louis Gossett Jr., Rachel McAdams, Dev Patel, Eddie Redmayne, Sarah Silverman, and Sofia Vergara.

The academy made the announcement via Twitter.

Producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said in a statement: “Through their work, these artists have shown us the unique, transformative power of cinema. We are delighted they will be joining us on the Oscars stage this year.”
