Jackie Appiah Dribbles Rumour Mongers

Despite rumours that her marriage has hit the rocks, highflying Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, paints a different picture of the widespread gossip. Jackie showed up last Friday at the premiere of the Princes Bride at the Silverbird Cinema, looking like a cheerful family woman. Clad in a green gown, the mother of one was in the company of her son Damien and husband Peter Agyeman, other family members and friends. It was as though the actress, who burst unto Ghanas movie industry in 2000, via Thing We Do For Love, a TV series, wanted to prove the rumour mongers wrong. That was the first time NEWS-ONE spotted the actress and her husband at a premiere together since allegations of their break-up gained currency in the media. Jackie was reported to have said on a programme on national TV early this year that she didnt want to discuss her marital issues in the media. Jackie and Mr. Agyeman have been married since 2005. My husband has absolutely no problems with the roles I play in movies. Indeed, I bring all my scripts home for us to discuss before I get on set, so it is not as if he does not know what I am going to do in the movies, she was reported to have said. My partner understands me. He knows the job that I have chosen. Sometimes, he comes on location to see what is going on. He understands and knows that everything is not real. He understands my job, she once told NEWS-ONE.
