Schlupp Boost For Ghana In Next Month's AFCON Qualifier...

Ghana have been boosted by the return to action of fit-again defender Jeffrey Schlupp ahead of next month's 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as he played in Leicester City clash with Norwich City on Saturday.

The left-back played his first official game in three months for the Foxes as they played out to a goalless draw in the English Premier League match.

Schlupp has been out of action for three months after suffering a hamstring injury.

His return to action for Leicester City in their English Premier League match shows he has regained full fitness.

The 22-year-old suffered the hamstring injury in December and underwent a successful surgery before returning to training with the Foxes last week.

Schlupp's return to the Leicester City's squad for matches shows that he is ready to play for the Black Stars in next month's matches against Mozambique.

His return his also a boost for Ghana who play Mozambique in next month's two back-to-back qualifiers for the tournament in Gabon.

Schlupp is a key member of the Black Stars squad seeking to seal early qualification for Africa's flagship football competition.
