25-year-old Jonathan Mensah proceeded with solemn preparations towards the main league which kicks off next week.
The energetic black stars defender and former player of Evian Thonon Gaillard joined the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala with a two year deal and played his first friendly match on Wednesday where he turned the team to mark a 2-1 victory over their Norwegian counterpart.
Anzhi are on a pre-season touring Spain ahead of the start of the league on March 7th 2016.
