It was dubbed to be the “Love climax” to polish off the month of February and the party indeed exceeded expectations.
Only a “Johnny come lately” would not heed the clear call for fine ladies and gentlemen to gather for the one and only premium monthly social gathering of the metropolis.
There was no need for the pre-arranged “Lent Exeats” after all as earlier announced for last Friday’s Mirror Ball as hundreds of nostalgia seeking old school fanatics negotiated their own passes to make it to the finest party in the land.
The dress code with its touch of red accentuated the finely appointed confines of the SOHO restaurant and bar as DJ Blow managed to keep the tunes rolling in hit after hit. The acoustics whet the appetite to move to the rhythm and an infectious dance fever ensued till the early dawn.
Though benign in nature, it dominated the evening’s proceedings and maneuvering from one end of the lounge to another proved a challenge as Accra’s discerning ladies gentlemen gathered in full force to bid the last Friday of February 2016 a befitting farewell.
To sweeten the celebration guests with the sweet tooth enjoyed a chocolate treat on arrival. A complimentary flute of chilled Champagne for early birds is always a wonderful and world class way to make any guest feel welcome and appreciated.
For those that have attended the Mirror Ball since its inception in September 2011, one can testify that early welcome treat has been something followed with attention to detail.
There was no stopping tradition, like a cork on the rise as the House of Mumm served their specially chilled elixir with all the pomp and pageantry that it deserves. The next event is to be celebrated on March 25th with the Denim Dance theme of blue jeans and a white top.
