NPP Cannot Have Power With Rebellious Internal Issues - Andrew Awuni Warns

A former spokesperson for former President John Agyekum Kufour, Mr. Andrew Awuni has cautioned the NPP never to dream of winning elections if issues in the party are not well addressed with an immediate effect.

“Naturally until you put your house together, you cannot ask somebody to put his/her destiny into your hands,” he said in an interview with Okay FM.

According to him, leaders of the party should not delude themselves into thinking that the party can make it without the suspended members because they are very important personalities whose views and contributions would be very much needed as far as the party’s 7th November victory is concerned.

He outlined that the party must be aware that families of the suspended members would not want to vote for the party since they would never be happy with the party on the decision taken and this in actual fact would go against the party vigorously.

“Executives of the NPP should know better by now that as a political party misunderstandings are bound to come especially among executives and leaders, but ways of addressing them must be fast and secret to the extent that it does not get to the public domain. Such of these misunderstandings come naturally as human beings because it cannot be possible having all executives in the party siding with all matters discussed,” he asserted in an interview with OKAY FM morning show host Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie.

He said, “Indeed the factions created in the party must stop now for a better future as the authorities put in place proper mechanisms of winning elections than engaging in excessive talks and conversations.”

He noted that former president J. A. Kufour has done his best for the party and needs not be bordered now with current issues in the party since his footprints are visible for the current leadership to follow for victory if truly that is their aim and focus for the party.

NPP would be peaceful when some current executives of the party desist from taking final decisions based on their individual powers as they claim, forgetting the appropriate over-all power itself is at the flag-staff house.
