Our Politicians Are Liars And Not The Least Compassionate

The Chief of Afransi -Ejumako in the Central Region, Nana Kwao Numa IV, has described all politicians as liars and not the least compassionate. According to him, they pretend to be caring only when it is close to elections and virtually abandon their people after winning power. Nana Kwao Numa expressed this grievance when a delegation of Health experts from the Netherlands visited the village to inspect on going health projects being carried out by Hope for Future Generation, an NGO. The projects, being supported by the Dutch government, are mainly to improve the health of women and children in the area. Nana said, life in the area is now becoming unbearable and those bearing the brunt of the suffering are women and children. According to him, it is a pity that after many successive governments since the country gained independence; they still dont have basic amenities like portable water, electricity, quality health care and Education. In a state of despair, Nana wondered whether they are part of Ghana because they and other people in places like the North and other remote areas have been neglected and made to suffer for so many years. The time has come for Politicians to reconsider the plight of the poor, hungry and the less privilege in the country, and also cut down on their lavish lifestyles at the expense of the poor and needy Ghanaians, he said.
