I Was Relevant Before Joining VIP Reggie Rockstone

Ghanaian Hiplife grandpapa Reggie Rockstone known in real life as Reginald Yaw Asante Osei, has debunked claims that joining music group VIP made him relevant again in the music scene.

According to the “Plan ben” hit singer, his brand was really powerful and was also everywhere in the world before he joined VVIP.

Reggie was speaking to Mike 2 on Adom Entertainment Hall on Saturday.

“I had signed a contract with Glo – I had my own businesses that I do – in fact my pictures were all over Accra and in the diaspora at the time I joined VIP,” he said.

Reggie said his joining VIP started with a joke he wrote on his twitter page, but as destiny would have it, today he is with the group now, and their VVIP brand has become a force to reckon with.

Rockstone joined VIP after Promzy (Emmanuel Ababio) left the trio after 20 years of success.

Other members of the group are Prodigal (Joseph Nana Ofori) and Zeal (Adbul Hamid Ibrahim).

Rockstone also told Mike 2 that his businesses are really doing well, especially his bar, dubbed “Rockstone’s Office”.

“My place is no more a nightclub – it is where you first come to party before you go and club anywhere you want,” he said.
