Asantehene Moves To Calm Nerves In Kotoko

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and Life Patron of Asante Kotoko S/C, has held pep-talks with players of club at their Adako-Jachie training grounds, a move to calm their nerves amid the row between the management and the head coach.

This comes against the background of the poor league performance by arguably the most successful football club in the country.

Kotoko is now occupying the last position on the premier league table with just five points from six matches.
The Asantehene asked the players to remain focused and work hard to win the matches ahead.

Their loyalty should be to the club and that they should refuse to be divided by whatever was going on between the Opoku-Nti led management and coach David Duncan.

The management has asked the trainer to step aside, a decision that has not gone down well with him.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu reminded the players of their primary duty to abide by their contractual terms and advised them not to meddle in the unfolding controversy.

Meanwhile, the management of Kotoko has asked the teeming supporters to remain calm as they worked around the clock to turn things around.

Mr. Opoku-Nti is upbeat that the club would bounce back to take its rightful place in Ghana football.
