VIDEO: "Don't Compare Me To Other Artistes"- Bisa Kdei Replies Critics

Reigning Highlife Singer Bisa Kdei has responded to several commentaries making rounds in the media circle about his stage performance.

For some time now, the "Mansa" hit maker has been labeled a bad stage performer event after event. According critics Bisa does not take his stage craft serious and he looks boring on stage in spite of the fact that he has a number of hit songs.

Bisa performed at Ghana Music Awards nominees jam which happened at the Ho Jubilee Park on Saturday April 9, 2016 and again his performance has been rated below average.

Responding to critics and entertainment pundits who keep labeling him as a bad performer, Bisa has stated that its their opinion and pleaded not be compared to other artistes because his style is different from what everybody is doing.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM's "Ekwaso dwo dwo" drive time program, Bisa said he cannot not be jumping around on stage like other artiste because he is a Highlife crooner.

"It is their opinion and everybody is entitled to their view. I have been on so many stages where I make several people happy".

"I want to use this opportunity to say that sometimes people say things for me to look bad in the eyes of people, as if by saying Bisa Kdei didn't do well at all on stage, the crowd was complaining that they didn't appreciate my performance".

Asked if he is privy to some of the issues raised concerning his stage-craft especially in the media, he said he hears everything but he doesn't allow all those negative comments to bring him down but to rather make him stronger.

"The thing is, you shouldn't try to compare me with some other artistes because I am trying to blend in with my style. It is not every song that you can hop or jump to. I am a Highlife artiste and I am trying to blend into the system".

Bisa was one of the popular artistes in 2015 with two strong hits "Mansa" and "Brother Brother". He has been nominated in various categories in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards including the ultimate "Artiste(s) of the year".

Bisa Kdei has just released a new single titled "Pillow" featuring Mugees of R2Bees and he has also billed to perform on the VGMAs awards night on May 7 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
