Schlupp and Amartey nominated for Leicester Citys young player of the season award

Ghana duo Jeffery Schlupp and Daniel Amartey have been nominated for the young player of the season award at Leicester City.

The two were included in a list which also had Ghanaian-born Joe Dodoo.

Amartey and Schlupp will be vying for the top award together with the likes of Liam Moore, Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray.

Both players have been impressive for the foxes in the English Premier League this season.

Schlupp despite suffering an injury has played an influential role in the team’s title chase this season.

The 23-year-old won a crucial penalty for his side which earned them an important 2-2 draw at home with West Ham United over the weekend.

Amartey on the other has braced himself into the Leicester team since joining the Club from Danish FC Copenhagen.

The versatile defender who has made seven appearances for the Club so far this season has excelled in various positions in the team.

Schlupp however won the coveted award at the Club last season.
