Jonathan Mensah Dreams of Playing For Boyhood Club Liverpool

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah is anticipating a dream move to his childhood Club Liverpool.
 
The 25-year-old who plays for Russian Club Anzhi Makhachkala has expressed his desire to feature for the English Club.

Mensah has been an ardent fan of the English giants hence will like to don the red shirt before retiring from football.

“It used to be Liverpool because the way they used to play. I loved watching Liverpool,” he told Ollie Baines.

“They had such fighting spirit until the very end. From a young kid, I would always love to watch the likes of Jamie Carragher and Sammi Hyypia.

“I used to love watching these guys play for Liverpool so much.”

The former Ghana youth star shot to fame after helping the Black Satellites in a historic World Cup feat when they clinched the FIFA U20 World Youth Championship in 2009, a performance which eventually earned him an opportunity to secure his first contract in Europe when he joined Italian Club Udinese before moving to France to feature for then Ligue 1 side Evian Thonan Giallard.
