Avram Grant to join local Black Stars in Japan

Ghana coach Avram Grant will meet the local Black Stars team in Japan for their international friendly with the Asian giants.

Grant is expected to help supervise the team in the friendly at the National Olympic Stadium next week Wednesday.

The Israeli who is currently at his base in England was expected to return to the country and travel with the team tomorrow for the game.

The 60-year-old according to report will join Maxwell Konadu and his team in Japan and return to his base after the game.

Avram Grant has been ordered by the Ghana Football Association to serve as a technical advisor for the other national team coaches which mandates him to be with the local Black Stars team for the game against Japan on May 11.

The former Chelsea boss has been constantly criticized for his continues stay in Europe.

The ex-West Ham manager was granted permission by the Ghana Football Association to leave after guiding the Black Stars in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.

He was however expected to be in the country to monitor the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
