Spio Will Never Be Appointed By Mills Ben Ephson

The Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson, believes any hope of CEO of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization, Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, serving under the President Mills administration has fizzled. This, he said, follows Dr. Spio Garbrahs recent scathing article on the first gentleman of the land. Quite recently, Ekwow Spio Garbrah, a leading member of the NDC and a former minister under Jerry John Rawlings, accused President Mills of frittering away the governments goodwill. In a derisive article in the Friday, September 18, 2009 edition of the Daily Graphic, Dr Spio Garbrah believed President Mills was derailing the NDCs political fortunes in the 2012 elections by woefully failing to meet the expectations of Ghanaians and most importantly, ordinary members of the party, and asked him to speed up. However, in an open letter today, another leading member of the NDC, Ato Ahwoi, angrily shot back at Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah accusing him of pressurizing and intimidating President Mills to give him a cabinet appointment. Speaking in an exclusive interview with peacefmonline, the renowned pollster was of the firm conviction that the CTO Chief Executive has shot himself in the foot and eroded any chances of serving under President Mills. But was also quick to add that this back and forth bickering between leading members of the NDC will not have any implications for the party. Fortunately for the NDC, Mr. Spio Garbrah has no grounds, he has no constituency, so that is to the NDCs advantagerather it is Spio Garbrah who is cutting off his support base, he is reducing his support in the partyit will affect Spio Garbrah a lotIll be very surprised if Prof Mills appoints him in any position during his 4 year tenure. Hell not be chosen as a MinisterMaybe after 2012 when Prez Mills decides to leave officebut for my personal opinion, itll be difficult, he said.
