Sunderland renew interest in Andre Ayew

Sunderland Coach Sam Allardyce has renewed his interest in Ghanaian international Andre Ayew, reports in UK have hinted.

Ayew could be on his way out of Swansea City following his sterling performance in the English Premier League which has attracted interest from several Clubs.

The Black Cats are in pole position to secure the signature of the 26-year-old having submitted a £10 million offer for the former Olympique Marseille ace.

Sunderland had a £12 million rejected by Swansea City during the winter transfer window.

The Black Cats are however reported to have reduced the amount following Swansea City’s alleged attempt to put the player up for sale to fix the financial difficulties at the Club.

The Ghana attacking midfielder scored 12 goals for Swansea City at the end of the 2015/16 season finishing as the Club’s top scorer and also equaling ex-Ghana international Tony Yeboah’s record as the highest scoring Ghanaian in a season in the English Premier League.
