GPL: Hearts stunned by Liberty in Accra, Dreams FC beat Edubiase

Accra Heats of Oak failed to get themselves to the summit of the League table after losing 0-1 to Liberty Professionals on Thursday.

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s side suffered their second loss at home after Issah Mohammed scored the only goal of the game.

Liberty who looked promising throughout the first half rewarded themselves with an excellent goal on the stroke of half time.

The Dansoman-based Club however maintained their composure in the second 45 minutes of the game.

Hearts of Oak attacker Foovi Aguidi, Cosmos Dauda and Samuel Yeboah came close to score but would be denied by some excellent defensive works from Liberty’s central defensive pair Samuel Sarfo and Maxwell Mensah.

The results keep Hearts on second place with 25 points while Liberty Professionals moves into the top 4 with 23 points after 13 matches.

In other matches Dreams SC finally got back to winning ways after posting a narrow 1-0 win over New Edubiase at the Obuasi Lan Clay Stadium, thanks to a fine header from Aaron Amoah.
