We have not regretted asking Duncan to step aside - Opoku Nti

Asante Kotoko CEO, Opoku Nti says his outfit have not regretted for asking Coach David Duncan to step aside.

Duncan is likely not to return to the Club after management temporarily relieved him off his duties as head coach of the side.

The Porcupine Warriors who are still yet to confirm an abrogated deal with Duncan has performed immensely well under interim manager Michael Osei.

Osei who was an assistant coach to Duncan was named as a stop-gap coach and has since proved to be the best man for the job by helping the Ghanaian giants to finish third at the end of the first round of the League.

Opoku Nti has believes management made the right decision to ask Duncan to step aside.

“The team have done very well since Michael took over and we are happy, we have not regretted asking Duncan to step aside, it was a decision we need to make and as you can see it has helped the team,” he told Atinka FM.

“We hope to maintain our performance in the second round of the season.”

Michael Osei has been able to guide the Club to 7 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses since taking over the team.
