Immigration, BNI On Heels Of Carlos Ahenkorah ...Over Passports?
The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and the Immigrations Service are investigating Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, Tema West Constituency Parliamentary Candidate for the opposition New Patriotic Party for possessing and travelling with two different Ghanaian passports within a space of one week, a source has told The New Crusading GUIDE.
Barring any last minute security arrangements, the source said, Carlos, as he is affectionately called, may be hauled to the Blue Gate to explain the “weird” instance of using two Ghanaian passports.
Throwing light on the issue, the source further said the BNI was investigating how Mr. Ahenkorah “travelled on Emirates Airline 788 from Accra through Abidjan to Dubai on September 23, 2014 with Passport number G0555553 and returned to Accra on October 25, 2014 with a different passport numberH2376509 on Emirates Airline 787”.
“It is out of ordinary that an individual would possess two different passports from the same country and that is why the BNI has called in the Immigration Service to assist in the investigations”, it added.
Attempts to verify the claim by the source proved futile as an Aide to Mr. Ahenkorah yesterday told this paper that the Parliamentary Candidate was holed up in a meeting and that he was going to call back later but he never reverted.
