Mahama Will Win 2016 Election One-Touch Alban Bagbin Predicts

Majority Leader in Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has predicted a resounding second-term victory for President John Dramani Mahama in the November 2016 general election. Speaking at a programme to inaugurate “a youth working committee” for his constituency, the outspoken and one of the longest serving lawmakers, in the Upper West Region, described President Mahama as “a dedicated humble leader” who is committed to developing Ghana.

According to him, his former colleague Bole Bamboi legislator, has proven enough competence in the socio-economic and political management of the country in his reign as president. “Those who are in fantasy world, the dream land; those of them who are chasing mirages please advice yourselves,” Mr. Bagbin who is also the MP for Nadowli-Kaleo stated.

The Majority Leader told Citi News he will be leading a campaign delegation to 42 constituencies in the next couple of days to solicit votes for President Mahama. Mr. Bagbin was among the first people to criticize Mahama’s style of leadership soon after he assumed the presidency in January 2013.

He now says, “I am more than confident that this election will not go a second round. I am among the first voices to raise the alarm bells about the need for his Excellency to review some things and move in the right direction, which he, with extreme humility complied with and made sure proper things were put in place; and in doing that I saw the humility in this gentleman, he did not in any way try to show that he had the whole power of the nation at his disposal.”
