Kwesi Pratt, Sam Pyne Trade 'Punches' Over Sugar Factory (VIDEO)

It was really a cracker of a show when Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr met with Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne to discuss the viability of the newly commissioned Sugar factory at Komenda in the Central Region.

Starting off by commending the NDC government for reviving the factory which was once the livewire of the people of Komenda in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEAA), Sam Pyne seem to be unhappy with comments allegedly passed by Kwesi Pratt on a television programme which he did not name.

According to the Ashanti Regional NPP scribe, the veteran journalist had on the said show misquoted him, something which he was least happy about.

His comments did not go down well with Kwesi Pratt who started condemning the criticisms levelled against the government after the commissioning of the plant.

According to Kwesi Pratt, the argument that a farm should have been created to feed the factory before its launch is untenable as according to him, there is still enough sugarcane to feed the factory.

To him, it was rather unfortunate such a laudable venture was fast been reduced to the usual NPP-NDC politics.

But Sam Pyne who sat two microphones away from the Insight Editor on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Thursday, June 2nd, 2015 asked him not to comment about persons complaining about the lack of logistics to enhance the operations of the factory as Kwesi Pratt during the reign of President Kufour sharply criticized after he commissioned the Ayensu starch factory.

Below is a video of the memorable encounter between the two. You need to watch how the two held each other as they passionately made their points.
