Sammy Awuku Has No "Manners" . . . Koku Claims

Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho has tagged NPP’s Sammy Awuku as a “disrespectful” being for attacking the topmost hierarchy of the police service.

According to him, the NPP’s National Youth Organizer “has no respect for elders and manners to show slight respect to people of higher authority.”

His comments comes after Mr Awuku criticized the sale of the police recruitment forms which sold for GHC100 and described it as absurd.

To him, the NPP will ensure that police forms are not sold above GHC 50 cedis when voted into power.

“The cost of the forms should cover the cost of printing and distribution and this time around it was more of an internet based so what is the cost of printing and distribution. Under the NPP I will make a stronger case that police forms should not go beyond 50 cedis.

". .The 100 cedis is suicidal. It is a high road to suicide. People are even going back to their parents to take that 100 cedis and we know that they [Police Service] will not take more than 3000 people,” He told Citi FM.

He also alleged that the Police Service had been forced to charge exorbitant fees because government had refused to provide them with the necessary resources needed to discharge their duties effectively.

But Koku Anyidoho sees his argument as unreasonable and “total rubbish” – “let us just go back to the eight years of Ex-President Kufour and ask the police service whether they didn’t sell the police recruitment forms during that time.”
