We Will Collate And Trust In Our Own Results - Mac Manu Insists

NPP Election 2016 Campaign Manager and former National Chairman, Peter Mac Manu has insisted the party will go by its own collated results in the upcoming November polls.

Peter Mac Manu was emphatic on OKAY FM’s morning show 'Ade Akye Abia' that the NPP will not be intimidated by anyone.

The NPP bigwig earlier told some party supporters that – “In this election, the NPP will also declare our own results. The IGP cannot stop us. Whether you are the Electoral Commission, whether you are a police or security officer, whether you are a polling agent, whether you are a chief, you cannot stop NPP from declaring results.”

But he has been cautioned by NDC Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho to desist from such plan or face the wrath of authorities – “I dare Mac Manu to declare his own results and see what will happen to him.”

Responding to his critics, Mr Mac Manu expressed optimism that the NPP is confident of winning the November 7 polls and will do everything to protect their votes.

“What we are saying is that we will do parallel collation and that is done everywhere. In Ivory Coast and in Nigeria, both President Jonathan and Ouattara did it and that is how come they knew they had won or lost the polls respectively.

“We in the NPP will collate our own results and after counting we will post them on the walls at the various polling stations and we will go by the results. We will trust in those results because that will be the true reflection of the people’s choice,” he noted.
