Kwadwo Asamoah keen to 'reunite' with Antonio Conte at Chelsea

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is keen to reunite with former manager Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

The 27-year-old versatile player has been strongly linked with a move to the English giants, with a deal reported to be in place for a potential swoop.

The Mirror has reported Athletic Bilbao remain very interested in signing Blues full-back Cesar Azpilicueta.

Conte signed Asamoah during his time at Juventus in 2012 and has since been a huge admirer of the talented Ghana international.

The Blues are prepared to spend £15 million on the former Udinese man with a view of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Asamoah's role at Juve has become less vital since Conte departed.

He has also struggled with injury, but Asamoah is now a four-time Serie A winner and could be a very useful addition at Chelsea.
