Grant Feigns Indifference Towards Muntari's Apology

Avram Grant has showed lack of interest in Sulley Muntari’s apology but has refused to slam the door shut on the player’s Black Stars return.

Muntari, who plays for Saudi side Al Ittihad Jeddah, grovelled for his unruly behaviour at the 2014 World Cup finals which saw him attack and punch a Black Stars management committee member.

The former Inter and AC Milan star stated his availability if his services are needed but opinions are divided about his return.

It has also been established that there are legal hurdles Muntari must clear before he can be re-admitted.

But Grant has refused rule out his return.

"I’m not aware what happened in the past. I don’t know if apologizing is ok but the door is opened to everybody,” the Israeli trainer told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.

"After the world cup we still have a good team and the age of the players is good but also we need experience.

"The door is opened to everybody but everybody who comes in must be better than the players now we have in the squad and they are doing a good job."
