I Will select Muntari If He Is Good Enough Avram Grant

Black Stars coach, Avram Grant has hinted that Sulley Muntari will be given a chance to play for the national team again but the player will have to put up good performances.

Muntari last week apologized for his outburst and contribution to Ghana’s chaotic World Cup campaign in Brazil where Ghana failed to break out of the group stage.

The 31-year old midfielder was thrown out of camp on the eve of Ghana’s final group game against Portugal for physically assaulting then management member Moses Armah Parker.

Muntari himself is not new to high profile burst up but his attack on Moses copped him an indefinite suspension from the national with an apology to the entire nation the only keys to his return to national team football.

But after two years, Muntari did the honorable thing by apologizing and Avram Grant, in an interview with Graphic Sports, says once the player has apologized the next thing is for him to prove himself worthy of a place in the national team.

“I like him as an individual and he is very nice guy,” Grant is quoted by footballghana.com.

“But we have a team and if he is good enough he will be selected and that is it.”

Muntari has featured in three world cups for Ghana and over 80 caps for the nation.
