Baba Rahman not disappointed to miss 2014 FIFA World Cup

Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman says he is not disappointed to have been left out of the Black Stars squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The Chelsea left-back was included in the provisional list but failed to make the final squad for the Mundial having struggled to earn regular playing time in the Black Stars team.

Rahman has since been a vital member of the team cementing his place at the left-back position.

The 22-year-old in an interview with Citi TV says he is not disappointed to have missed out from the squad for the Brazil World Cup.

“On a personal note, no because I was with the team for a year and never played so I really had doubts in terms of a call-up for me.”

The former Augsburg defender was a member of the Black Stars team that finished second at the 2015 Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

He has also played a crucial role in helping the Black Stars to book qualification to the 2017 Cup of Nations in Gabon.
