The polo shirt is arguably the most recognizable top worn around the world after the undisputed t-shirt and last month, the SOHO Lounge in Marina Mall hosted a great turn out of Mirror Ballers who came out to “throw May away” as the local parlance would go.
Who recalls back in the day before mobile phones when after receiving a visit from a close friend you would escort them part of the way back to their house and sometimes even reach their house and turn back and end up doing the same thing again?
The May month ender was just simply “fresh” if you could sum it up in one word other than “fun”. There was enough to eat and drink from the world class menu but certainly less room to dance as the old school connoisseurs of Accra trooped in to mark the special rite of the last Friday in Ghana as DJ Blow selected the most enduring of those oldies for another round on the dance floor.
We have gone past the half way mark of the year and if that means anything positive for the hard working crews, this Friday we will experience the return of “Black & Gold” which is a beautiful theme where guests deck themselves in all sorts of black material innovations and accessorize with a touch of gold.
Those who have attended the Mirror Ball at the Golden Tulip and La Palm in the past will recall this memorable experience and come Friday you get a chance to join hundreds of revelers as we outdoor Black & Gold at SOHO.
Mumm champagne is synonymous with premium great experience and though it will be an outdooring, instead of Schnapps, the welcome flute of bubbly will be a nice perk for early birds who grace the occasion.
Though many people do leave our shores in the “summertime” to visit the New York’s and London’s of this world there is always a sizeable presence and a standing order for homegrown world class entertainment and you can be sure to meet your peers there as we celebrate the lives we are living.
