Popular highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena known in private life as George Kwabena Adu, had his house broken into by thieves last week. The talented musician had sent his car to the mechanics for repairs and upon his return met the damage caused. They made away with valuables like jewellery, phones, cash running into thousands of cedis and his personal laptop. The musician has in recent times, been rocked with controversy after he left his matrimonial home to live with another lady. He received a lot of public backlash which dented his image rather badly. But this was not after he engaged some members of the media in heated arguments over the veracity or otherwise of the story. Born on the 17th October 1978, he burst onto the music scene with an LP that was really received well both home and abroad. His �asor� track did him a lot of good including winning multiple awards. The artiste, who many of his colleagues prefer to call Prince George, started singing at the age of 14. A close confidant of hip life artiste Kontihene, he is noted for his good command of lyrics and use of melodious voices effectively which earned him a lot of backing vocal roles before breaking into mainstream music; a typical example, is featuring on the Last Two�s compilation, �sounds of our time�. Even though he is a professional draughtsman, music seems to have taken the better part of him as he has relegated what he actually studied in school to the background. This latest, unfortunate incident is just one of the hazards public figures go through. It would be recalled that Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, known as Mzbel also suffered a similar fate when an partment she rented at Gbawe was invaded by thugs who made away with several items running into thousands of cedis and also manhandled her and some backup dancers who were also in the house at that time.
